About Shankari & Co.

Experience from one generation, fresh training from the next, and a shared commitment to careful, honest work.

The firm

In 1994, S. Raju Goud enrolled as an advocate and joined Mr Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, a well-regarded criminal lawyer in Hyderabad, as a junior. Four years of learning in the courts followed, after which he set up his own practice. Over the years his work has taken him before the High Court, the District Courts of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Sangareddy, tribunals across the state and, in some matters, the Supreme Court of India.

That practice has now become a partnership. His sons, Surya Teja S & Suraj Kiran S, both of whom hold an LL.M. from University College of Law, Osmania University, have joined him as partners, and together they have formed Shankari & Co., Advocates. The name carries forward the practice Mr Raju Goud began in 1994; the partnership is new, and so is the energy it brings.

Trust · Heritage · Steadiness

Trusted counsel, built on one family’s name and three decades of quiet commitment.

Our vision

To be the law firm Hyderabad’s families and small businesses turn to, generation after generation, for advice they can trust.

Our mission

To practise law the way Mr S. Raju Goud began in 1994: personally, patiently and without pretence. We listen before we advise, prepare every matter thoroughly, explain the options in plain language and keep each client informed at every stage.

  • Philosophy

Law is about people before it is about paper. We try to understand what matters to you, prepare each case with patience and rigour, and give advice we would be comfortable giving to our own family.

  • Approach to clients

You are at the centre of every matter. We listen first, explain your options in plain language, and keep you informed at each stage. The decisions are yours; our role is to make sure you can take them with confidence.

  • Professional values

Integrity, diligence and respect guide how we work: with clients, with the courts and with each other. Our lawyers are bound by confidentiality agreements, and we follow the rules of the Bar Council of India in everything we do.

  • Pro bono

As a matter of firm policy, Shankari & Co. undertakes pro bono work at its discretion, in matters it considers to involve genuine injustice or hardship. Such matters may be brought to the firm’s attention through the contact details on this website.
